I was thinking about it before and decided that the best 2010 book I read in 2010 was probably The Slap. Of course I went right to amazon to check out the one-star reviews, which were predictably hilarious. I think my favorite is the review that complains that the author doesn't know the difference between "soliloquise" and "rhapsodise" except of course that the reviewer is citing a letter written by one of the characters-a character who tends toward fancy talk and misusing words.
