My father's review of INSULTS EVERY MAN SHOULD KNOW (which he has not read)

Today is my Name Day (thank you, thank you) so my sister called and put my father on the phone. Earlier, he'd seen a copy of Insults Every Man Should Know.

Here are his thoughts:

I don't understand this book. Nobody wants a book like this. A book of insults and jokes is no good. You should write books that are deep, with meaning, that educate the people, not this. Also, it's too small. Nobody wants a handbook. People like large books, long books, with a colorful cover. Also, it should have illustrations. You should write a book like The Bible, but with illustrations.

A book should entertain, but also be sophisticated. Did you write this book just for Republicans; is that why its short and full of insults? You need to write an intellectual book that professors can talk about and people in the elementary school–in, what you say, third grade-can understand, just like with the Bible. Some people like the stories, other people find deep meaning. And that will entertain. So everyone can enjoy it. That should be your next book, with a better cover, and with pictures.
