"Let Us Be Done With Geek Pride" is at 360 comments; enough that some comments are being spammed out despite not even looking all that spammy. If your comment doesn't appear immediately, don't sweat it, I'll get to it and put it up, even if you're an idiot troll. Especially if you're an idiot troll. This is also so for anonymous comments, which I need to pre-approve as LJ isn't proof against Russian or Japanese spam. I get a lot of the latter for some reason.

Amazon jumped queue and is shipping copies of Long Island Noir early. It includes "Thy Shiny Car in the Night", which is unusual among my stories in that la_nausicaa actually likes it. I have great affection for it too. So check it out. (And don't worry about buying books early somehow ruining careers. That's gibbering nonsense; bestseller lists are compiled through sell-in as well as sell-through.)

Another good book you might want to look at is The Navidad Incident, one of my favorite day job books. More magical realism than fantasy, and hilarious in many respects.
